Available for both the i30N Sedan and Hatch, our Stage 1 Upgrade includes four key components: the Forge Induction Kit, Forge Turbo Inlet Adaptor, the N75 Motorsport ECU Reflash, and the Powerflex Torque Mount Insert. Together, these mods deliver sharper throttle response, improved turbo efficiency, and a noticeable bump in performance — all while maintaining the i30N’s factory reliability.
The upgrade starts with fitting up the Forge Induction Kit and Turbo Inlet Adaptor. The Forge Induction Kit replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a high-flow intake system, dramatically increasing the volume and velocity of incoming air. Its large cone filter, heat shield, and smooth-flowing pipework reduce turbulence and improve throttle response, while also producing a more aggressive intake sound under load. Paired with this is the Forge Turbo Inlet Adaptor, which replaces the narrow, contoured OEM turbo elbow with a precision-machined, high-diameter replacement. This adaptor optimises the transition of airflow from the intake system into the turbo compressor housing, reducing pressure drop and aiding turbo spool. Together, these components allow the turbo to breathe more efficiently, resulting in quicker boost onset and improved midrange power delivery.
Next, we perform our N75 Motorsport Reflash and fit a set of HKS Spark Plugs. Developed specifically for the i30N platform, this N75 Motorsport Reflash adjusts boost targets, fuel delivery, and ignition timing to safely extract more power and torque. To support the increased performance and ensure consistent spark under higher cylinder pressures, the tune is paired with HKS Spark Plugs, which offer better heat resistance and a stronger, more reliable ignition event. This combination not only maximizes combustion efficiency but also enhances reliability under spirited driving or track conditions.
To round out the upgrade, we then fit the Powerflex Lower Torque Mount Bush to ensure that all the newfound power is effectively transferred to the ground. This upgraded insert replaces the soft rubber component in the factory lower engine mount with a stiffer polyurethane bush, significantly reducing engine movement under acceleration, braking, and gear changes. The result is a more connected and responsive driving experience, especially during hard launches or spirited cornering. Gear engagement feels sharper, wheel hop is reduced, and throttle transitions become more immediate.
